i would like to know what happened to actual human interaction. it's hard to pinpoint at exactly what point people started trading verbal communication for words assembled by fingertips on a keyboard, but it is beyond the point of denying that this form of interaction is more common and comfortable than it should be.
and why shouldn't it be? what a luxury it is to be able to adjust your own lighting and paint your self-portrait how you want it to look, fooling everyone and covering up your flaws. no one is as perfect as they appear on livejournal.
i lie to cover my tracks. i judge books by their covers. i whisper secrets to people i know will spread them. i hurt people's feelings, and sometimes it doesn't bother me.
this is part of who i am, the ugly side that most people won't admit to. i am human, flawed and disappointing.
